About ECO STOR GmbH
ECO STOR is a German company based in Hanover that has been implementing high-performance battery storage solutions for grid stabilization and the integration of renewable energies since 2013. Its projects include, among others, Germany’s largest battery storage system with more than 200 MWh of storage capacity in Bollingstedt, Schleswig-Holstein.

The heterogeneous system landscape is one of the biggest challenges in plant Monitoring.
As one of the largest EPCs in the field of stationary battery storage, ECO STOR operates numerous large-scale storage plants – including one of Germany’s largest battery storage systems in Bollingstedt. Before introducing the Amperecloud Platform, Monitoring of what was then a portfolio of over 100 MWh relied on a wide range of different solutions: a web-based ticketing system, separate tools for data visualization and Maintenance Management, and an internal solution developed by the data science team. Many pieces of information also had to be manually consolidated in Excel. These processes were inefficient and contributed to poor data quality.
Particularly challenging: handling status codes and error messages. Relevant alarms often got lost in the daily flood of information. At the same time, it was difficult to prove compliance with warranty conditions, because warranty-relevant parameters had not been defined.
Key results
80% cost savings on software because all monitoring processes run in a single operating system
Manufacturer-specific status code sets make it easier to interpret error messages
Monitoring of warranty-relevant parameters fully automated
“We can highly recommend Amperecloud as a partner, above all for their open, peer-level communication, high flexibility, and intuitive software.”
